A 20-year old Nigerian graphic designer, Joshua Okoro, is trending on twitter for proposing a new look for the Whatsapp Messaging App.

The Kano state born freelancer did a dark mode design for the WhatsApp app adding some features too that could less user journey and improve Users Experience using AdobeXD

His new tweaks when accepted are expected to increase user engagement while letting the user choose whose status they want to view by clicking on the profile button rather than slide to the status session and having transitions.

When asked what motivated him towards engaging in the task, he said he just wants to shoot his shot. He believes his shot will get noticed by the online messaging giant.

While it is not quite clear whether Whatsapp will adopt the proposal, the online community has showered Joshua with praises suggesting that many do wish that the changes be integrated into the popular messaging platform.
